- Professional Experience:
- McMahon conducted and managed collaborative research projects as a Materials Engineer and Team Lead at NAVSEA’s Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Bethesda, Maryland. His work supported NSWCCD core competencies across surface ships, submarines, and unmanned vehicles. His research focused on environmental fracture mitigation, protective coatings, failure analysis, and safe life design, with emphasis on ship superstructures, weapon systems, fasteners, and additively manufactured components.
